Sunder - A World of Warcraft Guild

And We're Back... To Wrap It Up

(This is the Sunwell, folks. Really)
What you find going to the light at the end of the tunnel.

After a five month hiatus that involved Summer slowdowns among other stuff, Sunder's back into raiding action with a big (and I mean humongous) nerf help from Blizzard. With the recent nerfs, we were finally able to see the rest of Sunwell. In one week, we were able to kill Felmyst:
More deaded... undead... dead...yeah...

We spent a day fighting the ledge boss, I mean, The Eredar Twins.
Ledge Boss is harder than Twins, true story

For the record, I believe it was Ledge:7 Sunder:1 with Sel holding the record at 2 falls in a row! Grats Sel!

Next came M'uru. It was reminiscent of Vashj back when we were raiding SSC; lots of coordination, lots of micromanagment, and lots of, "OMG phase 2! DPS harrrrrrrd!!!!!!!!!!!eleventy-one" needed. In the end though:
Can you find M'uru's corpse?

So finally, to wrap up our first week of raiding since the big nerf, we came upon Kil'Jaedan. It's a brutal fight, and I'm not just talking about the encounter. By being in the proximity of the final chamber and in the fight itself, a few of our raiders fell victim to the vicious boss ability "error 134" or the boss's other ability "OMG GRAPHICAL LAG, I CAN'T SEEEEEEE!"

In a stunning display of dedication, tenacity, and sheer stubbornness, we took down Kil'Jaedan. There we were, 4.5 hours into raiding. We were tired and well over the time we should've called it a night. The people on the east coast carried on by adrenaline when it was 3AM their time, bolstered by the fact that we had him down to the last phase on numerous occasions. One of the attempts had started to look like a wipe. The raid leader, not wanting to straight up wipe, insisted that we practice the drills along the lines of, "If you can dodge a dodgeball, you can dodge a meteor!" So we pushed on, giving our all. Before we knew it, KJ was down to 10%. We kept going, everyone alive pushing harder still. Soon, he was down past 5%, our then record attempt, into 4 and then 3% when everyone started going ape-shit. We kept dpsing, kept dodging meteors, kept healing through the carnage, when finally, Kil'Jaedan dies with just 5 people left standing. Excellent job people, especially the healers for keeping us going!

And so ends The Burning Crusades. Everything in this expansion has officially died by our hands now. In a short while, we'll be off to Northrend for new things to kill, new things to die to, and new ways to punt gnomes.

6 minutes and change

Neener-neener

Umm... okay.

And so he went splat 14 seconds after he enraged, hazzah!

With progression news out of the way, let's focus on a quick Sunder life lesson. Today, we will learn where babies come from, according to Angelista:
The floating turds in the toilet bowl? Aborted fetuses

Kalecgos Cleansed

Been slacking on progression updates but I figure I'd let the Vegas trip stay in the limelight just a bit longer...

Back to the progressions now.

Last week, we killed the first boss in Sunwell Plateau and cleansed Kalecgos of the demon that infested him. It has got to be one of the most dramatic kills for the guild. Kalec had 3% health before the demon died and there were only 3 people left standing by the time the dragon followed suit.

Grats guys on the kill!

On Raiding Vegas

So last weekend, instead of raiding Sunwell or Black Temple or Hyjal, the guild decided to go raid Vegas instead.

Congratulations Lightstar

on getting the first warglaive in the guild!

Too lazy to get Lightstar to pose so I did the next best thing

All we need now is for the main hand to drop but given our Midoc Curse, we'd probably get 2 more off-hands instead. (If we get anymore, that is)
